EMDRIA-Certified Therapist | Registered Social Worker | EMDR 2.0 Specialist
I'm Leanne Perrin, a registered social worker and EMDRIA-certified EMDR therapist with over 15 years of experience in trauma-informed mental health care. My passion lies in helping people heal from trauma using evidence-based, cutting-edge therapeutic approaches.
After earning my Master of Social Work degree, I specialized in trauma therapy and became one of the first practitioners in Saskatchewan and Alberta to receive advanced training in EMDR 2.0—an innovative evolution of traditional EMDR developed by Dutch researchers Dr. Ad de Jongh and Dr. Suzy Matthijssen.
Throughout my career, I've worked with diverse populations including First Nations and Indigenous communities, frontline workers, military personnel, survivors of complex trauma, and individuals navigating life transitions. This breadth of experience has taught me that healing looks different for everyone, and that culturally-informed, personalized care is essential.
I believe in the power of innovation, collaboration, and transformation. My practice integrates EMDR 2.0 with holistic assessment, somatic approaches, and cultural sensitivity to provide comprehensive, respectful, and effective trauma treatment.

I'm committed to staying at the forefront of trauma therapy research. My EMDR 2.0 training represents the latest advancement in evidence-based trauma treatment, allowing me to offer faster, more effective healing to my clients.
Healing is a partnership. I work collaboratively with each client, respecting your unique experiences, strengths, and goals. Together, we create a treatment plan that honors your pace and preferences.
I believe deeply in people's capacity for change and growth. My role is to provide the tools, expertise, and supportive space where transformation becomes possible—even after years of suffering.
I bring both personal and professional understanding of First Nations and Indigenous communities. Cultural safety and respect are woven into every aspect of my practice.
True healing addresses the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. I integrate multiple therapeutic approaches to support your complete well-being, not just symptom reduction.
Creating a safe, non-judgmental therapeutic relationship is foundational. Your privacy is protected, your pace is respected, and your trust is sacred.
Trauma doesn't have to be a life sentence. I've witnessed countless people reclaim their lives, rediscover joy, and rebuild relationships after trauma—and that possibility fuels my work every day.
Too many people suffer in silence because they don't know help is available, or they've tried therapy that didn't work. EMDR 2.0 represents a breakthrough in trauma treatment—it's faster, more effective, and accessible to people who couldn't previously travel to traditional therapy appointments.
I'm especially passionate about serving Indigenous communities and rural populations who face unique barriers to mental health care. My remote services mean geography doesn't have to limit your access to cutting-edge trauma treatment.
When you work with me, you're not just getting a therapist—you're getting a dedicated partner in your healing journey who will walk alongside you with expertise, compassion, and unwavering belief in your ability to heal.
Every aspect of my practice is grounded in trauma-informed principles. This means I understand how trauma affects the brain and body, and I create a therapeutic environment that prioritizes:
Before beginning EMDR 2.0 treatment, I conduct a thorough holistic assessment that examines:
While EMDR 2.0 is my primary therapeutic tool, I also integrate other evidence-based approaches as needed:
Body-based approaches that help release trauma stored in the nervous system.
Challenging unhelpful thought patterns that perpetuate distress.
Grounding and present-moment awareness techniques for emotional regulation.
Integration of traditional and cultural approaches when appropriate and requested.
I offer a free 15-minute consultation where we can discuss your needs, answer your questions, and determine if EMDR 2.0 therapy is the right fit for you.
